Kathryn Turns One!

These seem to have loaded all out of order. I guess this is proof that I am a little rusty at blogging these days. I almost didn't do anything for Kathryn's first birthday. I was feeling really tired and worn out around that time, but I kept thinking I finally have a little girl I have to do something. To be honest I don't think these pictures even do the decorations justice. I spent many hours making tissue flowers, tissue pom poms, and flower cupcakes. In fact I made Doug walk around with a mini saw trying to locate the perfect branches to use. We thought for certain the Cops were going to get called as we sawed at some of our neighbors branches at 12:30 in the morning.

Some of the food that we had that day. I made Mini Frittatas, Doughnut Muffins(thanks Caitlin), bite size twice baked potatoes, and fresh fruit Kabobs. I decided to make it a brunch which was really fun.
This is a sampling of some of the cupcakes I made for the event. I loved how they turned out...they were so dainty and girlie. What can I say we have made a lot of car/monster truck cakes around this house over the last few years, so it was nice to do something pretty.
