Ryan's Preschool Open House

Ryan's preschool just had their open house the other night. We got the opportunity to come and tour his room and see all of the neat things he has been up to. He tells me about most of the things they learn, but there were a few things I had not seen before.

Doug and I got a good laugh about this one. Most of the kids talked about how penguins are black and white, but Ryan had to make sure we knew they lived in South America. I also like the commentary on what the penguin is saying..."ahhhh".

Reading his letter journal with Daddy. He practices writing his letters in this journal, but there were a lot of pages that he threw in some extra information. One of the pages was about Mommy being 31...really funny.

Ryan and his teacher, Mrs. Melissa. He really loves her and has been happy to have her as a teacher again this year.

Drum Roll Please....

We went to our 20 week ultrasound today...and found out that a baby GIRL is heading our way. I went to an ultrasound at 16 weeks and they told me that they were pretty sure it was a girl, but I wanted to get one more peak before I announced it. The ultrasound tech was really good today and she showed me many shots of the general region. We are very excited about this news, but part of me feels a little overwhelmed. What on earth do you do with a little girl? My life is full of Monster trucks, Hot Wheels Cars, and Legos. I am comfortable with little boys...they have been my life for the last 5 years. I am looking forward to finding out about all things girl related though. Doug is especially excited about ruffled bums and giant bows (lots of sarcasm).
