Monkey Boy

I came down the stairs the other morning after my shower and this is what I found. Tyler perched on top of the table. Things that were once on the table were now on the ground. Thank goodness he didn't throw the plant with the ceramic vase...just knocked it over. I think he climbed up there to finish off Ryan's pancakes. Crazy little boy. Good thing we love him.

He was so proud of himself that I had to take a picture and then quickly run over and pull him down before he took a major spill. I now make sure all of the chairs are pushed in so this doesn't happen again.

Mama I'm Sugaring

I knew I would forget later on down the line some of the funny things that my kids say, so I am going to try to record some of them. Ryan's thing lately has been to tell me that he is "sugaring", when in fact he is actually shivering. Really cute! It makes me laugh every time.

A Few Crazy Weeks

It has been a while since I have posted anything exciting. Life has been a little hectic, and I have not had any fun pictures to post. It started a few weeks ago when I left the house for a few hours one Friday evening, and returned to my downstairs underwater. Well, not technically underwater, but our toilet had over flowed and soaked more than half of our carpet. Lovely! So after 3 1/2 hours of scrubbing and trying our best to suck out the moisture with a wet vac...we seemed to have saved our carpet. I guess we are thankful we chose Berber. The next morning we got up and went with Doug on a appraisal to Arroyo Grande/Pismo Beach. I love that area and any excuse to travel up there and see Kelly and Julio. Doug's client has a huge 5,000 sq. ft. investment house and he gladly let us stay in it. The house was far from child proof...lots of breakable things down low, but the boys were really good and didn't really touch anything. I am bummed that I don't have any pictures(I forgot my camera). The last night before we came home Doug hit a skunk with his car. It was a cold ride home trying to diffuse the disgusting odor of skunk. Doug went straight to the car wash when we got home to try to rid the car of the odor. The workers just threw a bunch a cherry air fresheners in the back. So now instead of just smelling like a skunk, it actually smelled like the bathroom at a gas station. YUCK! Luckily, Doug has tried a few tricks and they seemed to have worked. The car is smelling a whole lot better.

Ryan Turns Four!

I can hardly believe that my little guy is four. Where did the time go? We had a big race car birthday bash at our house this last weekend(see slide show below). We had a great turn out and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. Doug has a client that owns Acura race cars and so he loaned us one for the party so each of the kids could sit in it and get their picture taken. They decorated race car shaped cakes, made their own license plates, got race car tatoos, and made designs with cars and paint. The highlight for Ryan was the race track Doug created out of duct tape. All of the kids enjoyed pushing their cars around the track and jumping the jumps. I was glad that my parents and sister, Kari, and her family could be there. Ryan always loves being with his cousins.
Mommy made a car cake for his actual birthday.
Ryan had preschool on his birthday, so Mommy made some cupcakes to share with his friends. He was very excited to get to hang the birthday flag at school and get a birthday crown. Mommy even let him stay an hour longer at preschool and have lunch(he has been begging me to do this since September).
That night we went bowling for his birthday and then out to Red Robin for dinner. Ryan was in heaven!!!
After dinner and bowling we came home and opened his presents from Mommy and Daddy. He got a watch for his birthday and so his new favorite thing is to tell us what time it is.
Our big birthday boy. Doug and I are so grateful for Ryan, he has brought us a lot of joy, and just a few headaches. :) We love you Ry Ry!!!

Ryan's 4th Birthday

Diggers and Dump Trucks...Oh My!!!

We had a loud knock on our door this morning and a man from the Tustin City Water Department informing us that there was a leak they needed to repair. It was a little annoying to not have water for half of the day, and all of the digging and jack hammering was a little loud, but Tyler was in heaven.

Ryan was gone at preschool in the morning, so Mommy and Tyler took a few trips outside to check on their progress. Tyler had this same grin on his face the entire time we were outside. Boys and loud, heavy machinery...I guess I will never completely understand the draw.
