Visiting Kelly and Julio
This last weekend while Doug was away on a hiking trip, I decided to pack up the boys and head to San Luis Obispo to visit Kelly and Julio. Julio is going to school at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo...studying to be an Architect. I love this area and so it is very fun to have an excuse to go there more often.
Shortly after arriving we headed over to Splash Cafe to enjoy amazing clam chowder. I love this place! Soooo Good!
On Saturday we ventured out to Avila Valley Barn. A fun little place with a petting zoo and it turned out to be all decked out for fall. There were hundreds of pumpkins...some I have never seen grown before.
They had a huge hay maze that you could go through. It didn't look that big until we got inside and then we began to feel a little claustrophobic. It took us a while to find the exit and by the time we did we were really ready to get out of there. Yikes!

They also had a cute little kid maze, which the boys really enjoyed. Here's Tyler navigating his way through.
The boys enjoying some of the cute decorations.
Saturday evening we walked around old town San Luis. Ryan is standing in front of the mission. Unfortunately, it was too dark to get a picture of the mission.

Sorry...these pictures loaded out of order.
They had a very fun hay ride that you could take out to pick a pumpkin or apples. The best part about this place was there was a lot of fun things that the kids could do for free.
Heading out to pick pumpkins!

Montana de Oro has to be one of our favorite places at the central coast. We probably visit there 2-3 times a year. One of the most beautiful places in California.
